Overview

The UK Student visa (formerly Tier 4) allows Cayman Islands residents to study at approved educational institutions in the United Kingdom. Requirements depend on your citizenship status — BOTC passport holders may have different pathways. You will need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number from your institution, proof of sufficient funds, and in some cases an ATAS certificate for certain postgraduate subjects. World Bridge navigates these complexities and ensures your application meets all UK Visas and Immigration requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Cayman Islands BOTC passport holders need a UK Student visa?

Requirements depend on your specific citizenship status and BOTC passport type. Some BOTC citizens may have different rights regarding UK study. Contact us for a personalized assessment.

What is a CAS number and how do I get one?

A CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) is an electronic reference number issued by your UK institution once you accept your offer and meet conditions. You cannot apply for a Student visa without it.

How much money do I need to show for a UK Student visa?

You must show your full course tuition fees (minus deposits paid) plus living costs: currently GBP 1,334/month for London or GBP 1,023/month outside London, for up to 9 months. Funds must be held for 28 consecutive days.

What is the ATAS certificate and do I need one?

ATAS (Academic Technology Approval Scheme) clearance is required for certain postgraduate courses in sensitive subjects. Your CAS will indicate if ATAS is needed. Processing takes around 20 working days.
